MGCC Midland Centre - Welsh Touring Rallye 2026
Staying for TWO nights at the Metropole Spa Hotel in Llandrindod Wells the weekend includes, dinner, bed and breakfast for two nights, entry into the Touring Run, Rallye Plate and Roadbook and includes lunch and coffee stops.
Choose between the 90-mile Classic run or the 120-mile Challenge run, which includes an optional Treasure Hunt.Both routes will visit the Epynt Ranges and the Brecon Beacons, with coffee and lunch stops.
In the evening our "relaxing" dinner will incorporate the theme "1960s/70s Used Car Salesman". Trilby hats, cavalry twill trousers, a carnation or two ( and a copy of Glasses Guide?) are a starter for the fun. Think "Minder" and "Fools and Horses". Ladies, remember Marlene? Stand by for a mock classic car auction or two as each table with its unique name, (Bombsite Motors for example) seeks our exciting prize.

Booking Process & Prices Explained
Once again for 2026 we will be following the event booking guidelines suggested by the main MG Car Club, partly because the Midland Centre isn't classed as a Tour Operator and doesn't have the necessary licencing, therefore the entry process for the Welsh Touring Rallye will be in two parts.

Please complete our online Rallye Run Booking entry form (link below) then please submit your payment of £75 per car for MGCC Members (or £80 for Non Members) which will cover the costs for the basic Rallye, Refreshments & Lunch. This will need to be paid directly to the MGCC Midland Centre by bank transfer upon submission of our online entry form.

We have arranged with the Metropole Hotel and Spa, Temple Street, Llandrindod Wells, Powys, LD1 5DY for a fixed price from £90pp per night for a 'Classic Room', including dinner bed and breakfast. So the weekend hotel rate will be from £360 per couple.

These are the May 2026 rates for the available Rooms
Classic Single @ £110/Room/Night - Total = £220 / Weekend
Classic Double or Twin @ £180/Room/Night - Total = £360/Weekend
Superior Double or Twin @ £230/Room/Night - Total = £460 /Weekend
Luxury Tower Double or Twin @ £270/Room/Night - Total = £540 / Weekend -
Please note the Hotel Bookings will be on a ‘First come - First Served’ Basis……

A £20.00 per person non-refundable deposit is taken at time ofbooking to hold the booking. Full pre-payment for the bedroom holding is thenrequired no later than 35 days prior to your arrival(non-refundable). Failure to pay the full amount on the room holding willresult in the bedroom being released and the non-refundable deposit kept.
When you have received confirmation of your entry onto the Rallye, please arrange your own hotel booking by telephoning the Metropole Hotel (01597 823 700)
Not forgetting to request the hotels cancellation arrangements if your circumstances change. -
For MGCC Members the total cost will be from £435 - (Hotel From £360 + Rallye Run £75) if you hurry and book a Classic room.
Not forgetting this includes ALL MEALS.
